About G.

Hello, my name is Gerasimos “G” Stavlas. I am a Miami-based filmmaker specializing in producing, assistant directing, videography, editing, and gaffing. I will have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Motion Pictures: Production, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Miami in May 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in the restaurant industry, I developed an early appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and the impact of strong leadership. My passion for storytelling took shape in 2019 while working as a stage manager, where I began to understand the power of narrative and coordination behind the scenes. By 2022, I learned to leverage and refine these skills, seamlessly adapting them to meet the demands of the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of film production.

During this time, I have:

  • Served as President of the University of Miami Film Society (DKA)

  • Founded and executive produced the UMTV show Reel Talk

  • Won Best Intro Undergraduate Film at the Canes Film Festival (2025)

  • Associate produced and served as 2nd Assistant Director on a feature film

  • Contributed to 15+ film and commercial productions

I am committed to refining my craft and bringing stories to life with clarity and precision. Too often, creative vision is lost in the complexity of production; my goal is to foster a structured, collaborative environment, both on and off set, where creativity can thrive. My passion lies in finding the path that turns vision into reality.
